For all my years of attending theater in our city, I always thought of Margie and her way of making sure that the seats were filled. Broadway in Chicago was her baby and she nurtured it well. She also brought with her the right people and over the years, they learned the “Margie” way- making sure that the seats were filled and that the shows were promoted.
Her smile was always bright and she always made us feel comfortable, whether an opening, a press announcement or just an evening at the theater, Margie made sure that all of the press people had what they needed to do their job. She was the best and we all adored ( and loved) her.
I know that every time I attend an opening at any of the BIC theaters, I will walk down the aisle knowing that Margie’s spirit is with us and will see her smiling down on all of us hoping for just the right quote!.
May her memory be for a blessing!!!
