Hitting milestones! As you get older, each special birthday becomes even more special. This has been a “birthday weekend” that will spread into Monday night ( Jane’s actual birthday). It started on Thursday when Lauri came in from Connecticut and we met the others for a late dinner.
Friday was the actual start of the “holiday” with Julie and Mike having the local family over for dinner, gifts and memories. The dinner was something unique which is why I am sharing with you. The company that did the catering is named “Fork It” and their slogan is “more than just a pretty plate”. What they offer is GRAZING packages. Yes, boxes and or tables depending how large a group. In fact, one might do a box for an evening at Ravinia.
This is what ours looked like as we had around 15- It is a unique buffet in that we could graze with drinks, then fill our plates and go to the table for the meal part.

Jane and the girls are heading into the city for the day and night while I attend a few plays and do my radio show ( Sunday WCPT820). Monday ( the actual date) Jane and I will have a quiet dinner together.
