“Princesses & Heroes” Disney on Ice reviewed by Maya Bouchend “homme”

"The costumes were realistic. Flounder was adorable. I liked the costume of the camel in Aladdin's marketplace (I think there was two guys in there). In Ariel's part, I really liked the eels and Ursula. The "Under the Sea" number was very colorful with all the people dressed as ocean animals and fish.

[rating=4] Every year, Chicago is treated to the wonderful experience of watching some of the finest ice skater (other than our Chicago Blackhawks) take to the ice at The United Center , as Disney on Ice presents the latest of their shows. In some cases, they play the Rosemont Horizon as well, giving each venue a week of performances. This is the shortened version- one week of “Princesses & Heroes” through Sunday, the 14th.  A world of wonder, where Heroes and Princess, that we have grown up with take to the ice and allow us to see theuir dreams come true! Jasmine and Aladin; Cinderella and her prince; Belle, Snow White, Tiana and Repunzel- high flying jumps and daring acrobatics and our favorite characters coming to life, right before our very eyes.

As Maya saw it:

“The costumes were realistic. Flounder was adorable. I liked the costume of the camel in Aladdin’s marketplace (I think there was two guys in there). In Ariel’s part, I really liked the eels and Ursula. The “Under the Sea” number was very colorful with all the people dressed as ocean animals and fish.
Each couple had different moves I remember. Jasmine got lifted up a couple times. Prince Eric swung Ariel around so fast her feet weren’t even touching the ground!
The special effects were amazing. The dragon shot fire and kind of glowed in the dark. The bubbles in Under the Sea were fun and the fireworks at the end were great.
Tinkerbell was beautiful!Of course. Mikey and Minnie had great costumes. Overall, I would say the show is fantastic and I’d love to see it again!”
This is from a nine year old. One who knows these characters and shows her love. To order tickets visit www.disneyonice.com
