One of our new sponsors is the amazing Volo Museum in Volo Illinois. It is hard to believe, but for fifty years ( or more) I had driven past the signage and for some reason never found myself there. Wow! I truly missed some amazing “stuff”. I am pretty sure that many of you are in the same situation. The Volo Museum is a destination! You should make this a priority on your “to do” list. Last week, on the radio, I offered some tickets to a listener and Saturday morning I drove up to Volo ( near the Wisconsin border, some 37 minutes from Northbrook Court) to meet and greet the Roknich family, Tom, Debbie and their grandson, Jackson ( who truly knows his cars). Once they were all checked in, wrist bands in place, map in hand, I took off for lunch with my grandkids and a play. Here are some notes on the experience for these winners!
My wife, Debbie and I enjoyed meeting you at Volo yesterday with our grandson, Jackson. Despite the rather gloomy weather, the Auto Museum was an uplifting experience!
There is so much more than just cars to look at which makes it a very family friendly place to visit!
Jackson really loved the Jurassic Gardens where he was able to see and experience lifelike dinosaurs up close!
The outside playground was a great place to burn a little of his energy.
When we walked into the first showroom and he saw all the shiny cars, he said, “Wow! This place is amazing!” The words out of a 3 year old says it all!
We loved seeing all the movie cars and the room with old mechanical rides was fun for him too!
