This is NOT a review, but instead, an article about a special place in Skokie. This morning, I stopped by Will’s Place on Lincoln Avenue, directly across the street from The Skokie Theatre, where later tonight I will watch their production of “A Streetcar Named Desire”. I have mentioned this dining space before and Frank and I will be doing a special there where Frank and I will help serve the patrons, as well as those of you who read my reviews and listen to us every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on WCPT 820 AM radio.
On that day, probably a Thursday in April, we will do a cross promotion where everyone who comes in and says “Around The Town” will get one of our coveted “Around The Town Chicago” coffee mugs, as a token of our appreciation.
Many of you are aware that I am active with Special Gifts Theatre, and I am trying to make sure that everyone is aware of this troupe of actors as well as the cooking done by Will and his staff. Frank and I ( along with Jane and perhaps another party) will be tasting several of the culinary treats at Will’s Place, but today, as I was drinking my coffee, I also enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich, which many of you know is one of my favs. Yes, at heart, I am still a 12 year old who loves his Mac n’ cheese and Grilled Cheese “sammy”! This was a delicious, thick and gooey sandwich served with a pickle and some tasty fries ( option of chips, but I love fries).
As I said, we will have much more information as to the actual menu review and the special day that Frank and I will be there for you, meanwhile,
if in Skokie, or close enough to get a great meal.
Will’s Place is located at 7927 N. Lincoln Avenue in Skokie.
They are open from 8 am until 3 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday ( CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY)
