GLASA Chicago Bears Wheelchair Football Team to Host and Compete in USA Wheelchair Football League Tournament August 23-24 in Rosemont
USA Wheelchair Football League teams from seven NFL affiliates will compete
WHAT: Wheelchair football athletes from six cities across the country will compete in the Chicagoland USA Wheelchair Football League (USAWFL) Tournament hosted by Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA). August 24-25 at Wintrust in Rosemont. The GLASA Chicago Bears Wheelchair Football Team, a founding member of the League, will be among the competitors. The tournament is open to the public and free to attend. Volunteer opportunities are available at glasa.org/volunteer.

TIME: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, August 23; 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., Sunday, August 24
WHERE: Wintrust Financial Campus – Rosemont, 9701 W. Higgins Road
WHO: The GLASA Chicago Bears Wheelchair Football Team will compete against the Birmingham Hammers, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wheelchair football teams.
WHY: The USA Wheelchair Football League is the first of its kind football league for adults with disabilities to reach their highest potential through a competitive, fast-paced, team sport. The USA Wheelchair Football League brings together highly trained coaches with passionate athletes, focused on excelling both on and off the field. What started with four cities in 2020 has expanded to include more than 700 athletes, coaches and volunteers participating in USA Wheelchair Football League programs. It’s an opportunity for our hard-working athletes to compete on a national stage, but also a chance to put wheelchair football on display for the whole city to see.
