What a marvelous week-end weather-wise. Perfect temps for the 100th year of “Northbrook Days”, a special week-end in the village of Northbrook. Yesterday was extra special for us as I was asked to be a “celebrity” Bingo caller in the very busy BINGO TENT. The amazing festival has been moved from the park to an area near the train station, more on Shermer Road and it was as busy as can be.
There are many special reasons to attend this festival . The proceeds go back to the community and while Northbrook is a thriving and growing village, in today’s economy, every little bit helps. The festival continues thru tonight ( Sunday August 3rd) at 8 p.m. The weather is perfect, so after my radio show 1-2 p.m. WCPT820, grab you family and head off to Northbrook. Tell them Al sent you!
