The first of the season for Marriott Theatre’s 50th anniversary- “Joseph’s Dream Grill” is open for business. As the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort celebrates 50 years of serving the community with resort vacations, fine dining and of course, great theater, they are doing something unique and very special. The Three Embers Restaurant will become the site of 5 creative popup experiences with a theme that coordinates with the production taking place on their stage.
The specialty drinks and menu items will be themes to the play and the popup will be be designed by the creative design team of the theater. With the opening of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” we were invited to sample the menu at Joseph’s Dream Grill ( the first popup).
They have added dreamy lanterns to the dining room, a starlit framed screen where diners can do a magical photo to place on facebook or send home to the family, and some palm trees to make you feel as if you might be in Egypt or Israel. This is the look, and if you walk over to the oven area you can see the array of items on the specialty themed menu.

They also have regular menu items including Pharoah’s Memphis Style BBQ Pizza and wonderful Wood Fired Shrimp Creole.
We were offered samples of these amazing items and I must tell you they were tasty. I can’t wait to go back and do a full review of the “Joseph” menu and to see what they offer as the season progresses.
