On today’s radio show, WCPT820 am radio at 2 pm-3 pm, we celebrated our connection with Dr. Adam Schlifke founder of Xpandcare ( more info available at www.xpandcare.com and www.CovidVENT.com) as they begin the “Front-Line Heroes” program in partnership with RTW Veteran Center to feed the front line hospital staff.
The program which already feeds 700 shut-in veterans is now delivering food to hospital workers who are dedicated to those who need help.
On May 8th, they will deliver food to Jackson Park Hospital on the south side of Chicago.
The following week they will deliver food to Hines VA Hospital in Hines, Il.
The Jesse Brown VA Hospital has the fifth-highest death rate and cases of Covid-19. Xpandcare, thru its partnership with RTW Veteran Center hopes to deploy remote patient monitoring system-wide so that all COVID patients can benefit from world class technology. Learn more on their website(s).
Today, we also delivered lunches to two other local hospitals:
Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago and Amita Resurrection Hospital in Chicago.
Todays’ meals were created and delivered to these centers ( the E/R. workers) by Sweet Time www.sweettime.com of Northfield.
Jane and Sari did a special job making sure that not only did the workers get a solid lunch, but some of the great “sweets” these ladies are known for. If you want to send something out call them at 312-229-1782 or at the website.
