ZaZas Revisited

[rating=4] When they first arrived on Clark Street, during the craziness of the pandemic, I went to Zazas Pizzeria and picked up some of their New York style pies to bring home. They were terrific and the “build your own” concept allowed for us designing the flavors that we want. They offered some gift certificates that we gave out on the radio and those who won loved the place. They called me to pick up some additional certificates. I told them that I was heading into the city to attend Porchlight Music Theater’s production of “Spring’s Awakening” ( see my review at Theater Reviews) and they stop by and have a bite. I told them I was on my own, so they suggested  that  I call Paul Lisnek, of WGN, who lives in the area and share a pie with him. I did- he never misses an opportunity to have pizza at Zazas, so I ordered half cheese ( for the simple diner) and for me, I told them to be creative adding lots of items from their list- he arrived and we were able to grab one of their tables ( this is a small space in a high rent area so space is limited) and enjoy some great pizza and conversation.

When dinner was over, Paul went to work on his “Behind the scenes” program on Comcast TV and I went down to the theater to find parking, get checked in and see a marvelous production. This made for a perfect evening. You can also have a perfect evening with Zaza- they are located at  3037 N. Clark Street in Chicago.
