HAMILTON: THE MUSEUM EXHIBITION

NOW OPEN ON NORTHERLY ISLAND

Hamilton: The Museum Exhibition, inspired by the revolutionary musical, recently opened on Chicago’s Northerly Island.  Chicago Tribune called The Exhibition “a visually imaginative and really, really huge exploration of Alexander Hamilton and the birth of the American republic.  The Exhibition is executed at the highest levels of art and craft.  Chicago has never seen anything quite like this.”  The New York Times writes The Exhibition “is without precedent in the theater world.”

Featuring interactive games and displays, lifelike projections, full-scale statues, and Instagram-worthy art installations, The Exhibition takes visitors deeper into Alexander Hamilton’s life as it chronicles the American Revolution and the creation of the United States of America.

Underscored by a brand-new, 27-piece orchestral recording of the music from Hamilton, the exhibition also features an audio tour narrated by the musical’s author, Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with Phillipa Soo and Christopher Jackson, who played Eliza Schuyler and George Washington in the original Broadway production.  Joanne B. Freeman, historical advisor and Professor of History and American Studies at Yale University, also narrates.

Hamilton: The Museum Exhibition is a collaboration between Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, creative director and set designer David Korins, producer Jeffrey Seller, orchestrator Alex Lacamoire, and Yale University historian and historical advisor to the exhibit Joanne B. Freeman. Harvard Law Professor and historian Annette Gordon-Reed is also providing historical consultation.

In an effort to engage with as many people as possible, and to bring as many students into the exhibit as possible, Hamilton: The Museum Exhibition is offering free group admission to all Chicago Public School students in grades four and higher.

Hamilton: The Museum Exhibition is the perfect opportunity for the entire family to experience the full story of Alexander Hamilton and the inspiring founding of our nation.

Individual tickets for The Exhibition are available on Ticketmaster.com and HamiltonExhibition.com. The timed entry tickets are $39.50 for adults, $32.50 for senior/military and $25 for youth ages 4-14.  For groups of 10 or more, contact Broadway In Chicago at 312-977-1710 or BICgroups.com.
