Hamilton Exhibition opens

The world-premiere of Hamilton: The Exhibition, a 360 degree, immersive exhibit will debut in Chicago, April 27th, in a free-standing temporary building on Northerly Island, 1535 S. Linn White Drive.

This exhibit will take visitors deeper into the life and times of Alexander Hamilton, while at the same time chronicle the American Revolution and the creation of The United States of America. This exhibit will elucidate the powerful experience of building our country and shaping our democracy.

The exhibition features an audio tour narrated in part by Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the Tony Award- winning musical “Hamilton”. There are also Spanish translations narrated by Olga Meredi, who originated the role of Abuela Claudia in Miranda’s earlier Broadway hit, “In The Heights”. Other narrations are done by Phillipa Soo and Christopher Jackson, who played Eliza Schuyler and George Washington in the original production of “Hamilton”.

With a dynamic mix of lighting, sound, multimedia, music and historical artifacts, you will experience how it felt to write the way Hamilton wrote, fight the way Hamilton fought, and live the way Hamilton lived. You will discover how his work as a trader gave him the skills to create our country’s financial system. Gaze upon detailed replicas of the streets of New Yorik, circa 1776. Step into George Washington’s war tent and learn how the Revolutionary Army planned their shocking victory in the Battle of Yorktown.

Individual tickets for Hamilton: The Exhibition are available at Ticketmaster ( www.Ticketmaster.com). The tickets are $39.50 for adults ( seniors and military $32.50) and $25 for children between 4- 14.

“Hamilton” is currently playing at Broadway In Chicago’s CIBC Theatre ( 18 West Monroe Street) where it has been since 2016.
