This year’s Memorial Day was far more memorable than last, FOR SURE!
This year, we were able to be with our families and friends. The light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter every day. Theater is coming back! Movies are opening! Restaurants have diners IN the restaurant, Santa’s Village is open !
All in All, life is starting to feel normal. We spend our Memorial Day Holiday weekend with our kids ( all but the Connecticut portion). Sunday, before the radio show with Cary and Cari enjoying a great brunch at Ann Sathers on Belmont and later that evening with Jennifer at Spears in Wheeling ( a great burger place).
Monday was BBQ and the remaining steaks from our Purely Meat filet medallions. Our son-in-law mike, a master at the grill, did a great job with these 2-3 ounce special cut steaks. They can be eaten as they are, mini-filet mignons or on a bun as a slider steak. We had corn on the cob, veggies and potatoes with an apple pie for dessert.
All in all, a wonderful week-end with family and a reminder that family is important so all should make sure they are vaccinated.
