As you probably guessed, I am having “theater withdrawl”. I am also having major problems staying home, but due to the situation, have been doing so. It is the safest way to contain this horrible situation and while I am hopeful it will go away soon, I know that we cannot anticipate a time-line for this to happen. Last week’s radio show has a few theatrical productions to talk about, but with nothing new taking place, there is not a great deal to discuss. The restaurants that sponsor my radio show by giving away gift cards, are unavailable to dine in, but for the most part, you can help them ( and yourselves) by ordering online and ordering the curbside pick up.
The spots are: KOI 624 Davis Street Evanston 847-866-6969 www.koievanston.com
Le Sud 2301 West Roscoe In Chicago 773-857-1985 www.LeSudChicago.com
L’aventino Forno Romana 355 East Ontario 312-964-5112 www.L’Aventino.com
Continental Restaurant 788 S. Buffalo Grove Rd in Buffalo Grove 847-459-4095 www.continental-restaurant.com
As to theater, please check with each on if they are open to the public. If they keep the numbers to a min. and spread out the audience, the show can go on ( an old theater adage) and there may be a few shows that you can “stream”. We will attempt to keep you updated as we learn more.
Together we will all make it through this ordeal and hopefully learn a great deal more to ensure we never have another situation like this.
My radio show will continue on WCPT820 am radio on Sundays at 2 p.m.
we will talk about things theater related as well as dining and try to look at “The bright side of life” for each and everyone of us.
