[rating=3]Pequeños Territorios en Reconstrucción is a research project about the “City of Women” in Turbaco, Colombia. “Pequenos Territorios” now on stage at The Goodman Theatre is a sort of documentary play combination telling us the story and history of this settlement where 15 years ago, a group of women displaced by armed conflict created the “League of Displaced Women” and built 98 houses with their own hands. After a short stay there, Teatro Linea de Sombra created a documentary fable posing a series of ethical questions on the potential destiny of the settlement, of the women who built it, and especially of the children who inhabit it.
It is a unique presentation handled by 4 women, AliciaLaguna, Abril Pinedo, Shanttel Saad and Sonya Madrigal. they use a combination of video (Marina Espana) and props- cinder blocks galore as they build the city as they tell their story. It is a powerful story showing how people can overcome all obstacles to achieve their goals
.Presented in English with some Spanish dialogue. It is approx. 65 minutes
