Highly Recommended **** Long Grove is a landmark. For years, it was the place to go for antiques, festivals and of course, chocolate. Dining is always a part of shopping. How can a day be complete without a hearty meal?

Places like the Village Tavern are also landmarks and since 2016 , Joanie’s Pizzeria of Long Grove has made a mark for herself. Dedicated to making sure that each and every customer is fully satisfied, Joanie is as hard a worked as one can expect. The first one in every day and the last to leave, her mission is to ensure that each patron will leave happy and with the desire to return.

As much as Jane and I love Pizza, we go to Janie’s for something else. Both of us love “Broasted Chicken”, and hers is by far the best you will find anywhere. For thos eof you who grew up in Skokie, and recall the days of Wesley’s ( Dempster and Crawford) or Father and Sons/Marcello’s ( in all their locations) or even Mr. Adams ( Deerfield, Chicago and Buffalo Grove), this is even BETTER!!

Folks, this is like having fried chicken, but no oil, un-fried. Much healthier, great flavor and just a delight.

Joanie’s is located in Historic Long Grove at 235 Robert Parker Coffin Road. Phone number is 847-415-2220

They have outdoor seating as well as indoor and of course, pick-up if you live or are visiting the area. By The Way, plenty of parking and the menu has items for all- pasta, BBQ and stuff for the kids as well!

ENJOY!
