Today, is the first day of the post-covid era! Well, not really, BUT, we did get our second shot and so far, no bad reaction. HOORAY! Three weeks between the vaccinations, and once again, the good people at Humboldt Park Health Care ( formerly Norwegian-American Hospital) were ready to handle the masses. Thank you for being well organized!
Every day we hear about the problems that exist with getting the vaccine into the arms of the people of Illinois ( as well as other states). The stories appear to be endless. Humboldt Park Health Center, being a caring neighbor to the community, make sure that they are handled properly. Yes, even when a computer error occurs, they are quick to ensure that each and every “patient” is taken care of. Although we were scheduled for shot two, the computer had us down as NEW patients to meet with a doctor for vaccination one. Once we showed them our card ( they tell you to take care of the card), within minutes we were taken to the other part of the hospital, prepared and within minutes, done!
The shot was easy as pie- DO NOT SAY NO TO THE VACCINE!
After the five second injection, we moved to the waiting area and waited for 15 minutes to make sure there was zero reaction. Then we left for home, where we decided that our next step is to get our little vaccination record cards laminated. This will keep them clean and fresh as we may have to show them when travelling takes place ( in the near future).
Today was a day to remember! Today was a day that is making us feel like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As we left the Humboldt Park Health Center, driving East on Division ( under the flag of Puerto Rico) we felt real good about our situation and want the people of Humboldt Park to know what a super medical center you are blessed to have. A true “neighborhood hospital” that truly cares for the people of the neighborhood! Enjoy them and if you live in the area and need to get your vaccination call 1-888-624-1850
