[rating=5 ]It is an annual event in Chicago, at this time of year, for the Feld Entertainment Company to bring into our area, The Greatest Show On Earth- also known as the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circu. Since this is true “family entertainment”, I enjoy having a reaction from a young person as they see things with clearer vision and since none of my grandkids were available, I asked Kayla Romero, a 6th grader at St. Leonard School in Berwyn to take her parents and do a review from a “younger” viwer.
This past Thursday, I went to The Ringling Bros Barnum and Bailey circus at the Allstate Arena, where they presented “Built to Amaze”. I thought the production was back to back entertainment/ comedy from start to finish. I really enjoyed the acrobats and animal trainers. The clowns were hilarious especially Zhang. He did a funny skit where he wore a tu-tu and danced like a ballerina. My favorite act was the boys vs. girls which I am not going to spoil for you let’s just say you are in for a treat. What made girls vs boys entertaining for me was the display of core strength and all tons of practice to perform the acts they did. If I had to summarize the whole show I would say nonstop comedy/ entertainment. Each year the circus has a different theme, this year it is “Built to Amaze” which was truly an AMAZING experience. I highly recommend you go see the Greatest show on earth for all the comedy and entertainment, that the whole family will enjoy.
Thanks you Kayla. I hope that those of you who have been thinking about the Circus will take what Kayla says at heart and get out to see this year’s brand new edition. It is moving from The Allstate Arena to The United Center and will be just as much fun for your family. If you have never been to a circus, in particular a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & bailey Circus, make your plans now. See why they are called “The Greatest Show On Earth” for yourself.
