Recommended *** For over a year we have been having food delivered to our home by Meal Village. This has been a lifesaver during the Covid era as when we cannot get out ( or couldn’t) we had easy to prepare meals. There are some breakfasts, salads and wonderful dinners. Jane loves the salads and the Meatloaf and chicken dinners. I truly enjoy the different chilis and their mac n’ cheese is a delight.
Since we have been doing the wintertime soup thing, I ordered a few of those to try and tell you about- The first is a mixture that I do not think I would have ever considered-Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
I am not a veggie type ( for the most part) but I do love cheese, so let me tell you about the 32 ounces of soup that I enjoyed ( or should I say, loved). It was easy to prepare. I did both the microwave as they suggest and did a little heat and stir on the stove. Both worked, the micro-wave being quicker, but neither changed the flavor. The broth was thick and creamy and the only addition I made were the oyster crackers ( they include some with each soup ( but never enough).
Their menu changes daily and they deliver only the fresh items of the day on that day. To try their products, you must first make sure they deliver to your zip. Go to www.mealvillage.com. When the zip code box comes up, type yours in. If it is a good one, the menu will be available and then you place your order, fill in the billing and delivery info and that day ( if ordered before noon) or the next you will have your meals delivered to your door. No hassle.
Each meal has all that you need including complete directions on the best way to prepare and serve. Enjoy- we have been for almost two years.
Everything has clear instructions and all ingredients are listed- the only thing missing ( and Jane keeps asking for it) is the calories. Dieters would love that!
