“Starball:A Dreamy Musical Astronomy Show” returns

This presentation was designed to be performed for a planetarium, combining theater,improvisation, original music cosmological inquiries and the exploration of human consciousness into a performance that will challenge its audience to deepen their understanding of the universe and its inhabitants and hopefully, reawaken their wonder for the sky. Written by John Kaufmann and Dan Dennis ( who also perform) and directed by Rachel Katz Carey, "Starball" invites audience members to forge a visceral connection to the night sky using their own thoughts, concepts and dreams as the vehicle for their journey.

When one thinks of going to our marvelous Adler Planetarium, they think of the watching of the stars and the lectures with explanations of the galaxies, the sun, the moon and all that surrounds our Earth. The Ethereal Mutt Limited, while a strange name for a production company along with The Adler Planetarium brings you a rare treat with the return of “Starball: A Dreamy Musical Astronomy Show” that is a part of the monthly event program at The Adler, on Thursday,April 19th with two special performances; 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

This is a special event, allowing the audience to spend some time in America’s first Planetarium to be educated and entertained and to open their eyes to more than we can see, day to day. The cost of this special experience is $12 for non-members ( in advance) and $17 at the door. Studnets and members , advanced only $9.00 and at the door, $12.00. The tickets include general admission, access to the performance, unlimited space shows, the Doane Observatory telescope viewing, light snacks and much more.
