Get ready car and motorcycle buffs! The weather is supposed to rarify so all who take the trip out to Long Grove on July 12th- THIS SUNDAY, from noon – 4 p.m. can enjoy looking at the antique and special vehicles that owners will bring out for the day. Rare treats for lovers of fine “machines”. While we all get to view the vehicles of our dreams, or memories, the dollars that are raised will benefit the Special Olympics.
Special Olympics Illinois provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with developmental disabilities. These programs help these athletes to gain confidence and build a more “positive attitude” and self-image. What they learn “on the field” becomes part of their lives “off the field” as well.
This event is sponsored by the men and women of The Kildeer Police Department under the leadership of Cheif Steve Balinski and it is their hope that if you have a car that you want to share, you will register it with them so you can bring it out to Long Grove this Sunday. Can’t make it, have a prize for our auction, call Capt Balinski at 847-438-6644 or e-mail him at sbalinski@kildeerpolice.com
The event will be held in the municipal parking lot located behind Neumann’s Cigars and More Store. We need your help! Have some fun, see some great cars and help a young athlete compete.
