My best buddy is back in town ( at least for a few months), and while here, Jane and I like to spend time with Barry and his wife, Fern-
the holiday week-end was tied up with some family, so we did the 4th on the fifth! Went to see the changes in his house and did some BBQ on his patio grill. One can notice the beloved medallions from Purely Meat ( I love these special steaks). Since I am considered an expert in grilling these tasty morsels, Barry allowed me to become “master of the grill” and allowed me to also handle his potatoes ( I had never done this before, but my new grill will have a special burner for doing this, so now I am ready). We added a salad and some wonderful corn on the cob ( Fern has a special recipe with “cream”) DELISH!
A wonderful evening with friends, great food, great conversation and very few bugs-
I love the meat I get from Purely Meat. The steaks are amazing! The burgers are perfect! We are always impressed with the quality and they deliver!
We were visiting friends in Burlington Wisconsin- we knew not to bring cheese! They have plenty of cheese. But since we were spending the whole day, and they were offering lunch, Jane and I thought , “How can we do something special to show our appreciation?” I knew how much we loved the medallions that we had for Memorial Day and since a new delivery had arrived yesterday, we made sure to bring some for our dinner.
As part of the thank you, I took over the chore of doing the BBQ for these special little 2-3 ounce fillets. I have had practice and understand the best way to prepare them. Our hosts were quite happy to turn the tongs over to me and they enjoyed every bite of these delicious steaks.
