We all know that this is the time of the year when our phones ring off the hook ( a term that we still use, even though none of us seem to have phones that are on a hook). It is the holiday season and we are constantly getting calls asking for help. It may be some organization that wants to take some kids to a rodeo ( do we have rodeos in Chicago). It may be a radio station that wants to sell you an ad that will help the homeless.. Be wary is what I have been told and make sure that you are indeed dealing with a real organization that has a track record of doing the things it says.

One such organization Is “The Greater Chicago Food Depository, which has been feeding those in need for years. They are in fact, Chicago’s Food Bank, providing food for hungry people in the greater Chicago area.

For every cookie they sell, $1.00 will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, meaning you can enjoy giving a cookie to someone you love and at the same time help put food on the shelves in a home making hunger disappear.
