Songs for Ukraine
Eight of Chicago’s acclaimed singers are uniting to help the war-ravaged people of Ukraine.
Joel Barry, Charlene Brooks, Carla Gordon, Beckie Menzie, David Meulemanns, Tom Michael, Jerry Miller, and Jan Slavin will perform a free concert at 3 p.m. on July 10 at Congregation Kol Emeth, 5130 W. Touhy Ave. in Skokie.
Beckie Menzie is the musical director.
Donations will be accepted at the concert to benefit UNICEF USA’s Ukraine relief work by check made out to UNICEF USA or cash.
“Our hearts go out to the people of Ukraine,” said Carla Gordon, who is co-producing Songs for Ukraine with Myrna Petlicki. “All of our performers are donating their time and talent to this event—using their gifts to support the victims of this terrible war.”
Proof of vaccination, I.D., and masks will be required.
To reserve a place at the concert, email myrna_petlicki@sbcglobal.net.
