Lots of us know the name Annaleigh Ashford from her work on the stage. Shows like “Kinky Boots” and “Wicked”, but now, this Tony Award nominee is heading to Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse, located at 175 E. Chestnut (Water Tower Place) for a one night only concert, “Lost in The Stars”. The concert date is Saturday, March 21st at 8 p.m.. If you have been in this intimate space, it is sheer perfection for a Cabaret type of evening as the stage is very close to the audience allowing the performer to see the eyes of those they are entertaining.
Ms Ashford will present an evening of song, story telling and sequins as she presents , along with the music of The Whiskey Five, an eclectic mix of “disco”( Donna Summer), “Judy at Carnegie Hall” and the hauntingly beautiful works of Sondheim and Weill. All of this will be woven together through her vibrancy and personality to make for a very special evening for you and your loved one. It is even possible that you might get a glimpse of special guests such as The Sun and The Moon that evening leaving you “Lost in the Stars”.
The tickets range from $30- $60 which is not overpriced for a “Cabaret” show such as this, and can be purchased at any of the Broadway In Chicago box offices, by calling the Broadway In Chicago Ticketline at 1-800-775-2000 or on-line at www.BroadwayInChicago.com
You can also purchase tickets at all Ticketmaster outlets. This is one night only, March 21st and an experience that you will relish and recall for years to come.
