A New ” Laugh the Night Away” spot!

Chicago is known for their comedy clubs. At one time we had them just about everywhere and for a comic, “this was the place”! For those of you seeking a night out where no matter the weather, you will have a wonderful experience, I would like to introduce you to The Lighthouse, located in the American Place Casino located in Waukegan. Yes, Waukegan has rebuilt what was The Lakehurst Shopping Center into a new type of experience. Dining, hotels, shops and something that truly is an experience.

Located in this “temporary” casino at 4011 Fountain Square Place, the Lighthouse is an intimate space where one can be up close and personal with the headliner. Tonight it was Tom Arnold. A lot of people think of Tom Arnold and add the name Roseanne Barr as they were once a couple. While he does bring her up during his show, we learn a great deal about the man and his career, and he is funny.

The beauty of this room is that the audience is up close and personal. Arnold, right now is not a “stand-up” comic ( he recently had back surgery) but rather a “sit-down” comic, and he truly held the audience for 75 minutes. The warm-up opener was fun as well. After the show, Arnold did photo shots with the audience members.  Coming up Steve Hytner ( January 10th) and Paul Rodriguez ( January 24th)- more infowww.americanplace.com
