I love October! The leaves are turning! The kids are getting ready for Halloween! The weather is cooling down and of greatest import, Ringling Brothers-Barnum & Bailey are about to come into town with THE CIRCUS! I have always loved the magic of the circus and the clowns and trainers of animals as well as the athletic ability of the high wire acts. As a kid, I longed for the day when they came to town as it made no difference where you grew up, how much your parents earned, where you lived or who you were- these performers gave you the same show and experience as the “other” families. The anticipation was wonderful- the show was always wonderful and the experience and memories it gave us were the most wonderful.
Well, get ready Chicago, they are almost here. Yes, Ringling Bros.,Barnum & Bailey will bring their newest edition to Chicago for a full month- first, November 3rd thru the 13th at The Allstate Arena in Rosemont and then they packit all up and move to the United Center from the 16th thru the 27th. This year’s title “Fully Charged” is filled with amazing acts that are exclusive to “The Greatest Show On Earth”, including Tabayara, an animal trainer who can stand eye-to-eye with tigers, ride stallions at an exceedingly fast gallop and dance with four ton elephants as if they were little puppy dogs. Other Highlights include strongmen Dmitry and Rusian, the fearless Fernandez Brothers, who will blow your minds as they attempt to do a 360 degree somersault from atop a spinning three story high steel wheel and then we get to witness the amazing Human Fuse, who will set the arena ablaze as he rockets through the air traveling at 65 miles per hour ( in air).
“Fully Charged” will make for excellent family fin- two hours of merriment and memories for your family and to make it even more entertaining, This year, due to the economy, prices have been brought doen to make sure that familes can have the thrill of their lifetime for little more than a movie ticket.
