“Sunday In The Park With Cory”

Several months ago, I had the privilege of reviewing Cory Goodrich’s wonderful biography , “”Folksong-A Ballad of Death, Discovery and DNA”, both here and on my radio show ( Sundays WCPT820 at 2 p.m.) and after speaking with her, went to Munster Indiana to see her show where she does some of her own and other folk and country /Western music.

Cory is indeed an amazing woman, talented beyond what one might expect from any person. She is an actress, a singer, a musician ( who plays many instruments) and now a writer. During the covid-19 period, with no shows, she also became an artist.

When we wnet to Munster to see her show, she also had on display, some of her artwork. I was mezmerized by one of her paintings which I called “Sunday In The Park With Cory” and asked her if I could purchase it. Jane and I were moving and I felt that this picture would be perfect for my office ( also known as the second bedroom). She said yes and then we left. Recently, we made the move.

After almost settling in, I looked at how my office ( also known as the second bedroom) looked. Something was missing!

I called Cory and said I am ready. Today we met, and tonight, her wonderful painting ( that I fell in love with at first sight) is hanging just where it belongs. I am in heaven! Today, I met up with Cory, picked up the picture, ran home, and now it is hanging where it was destined to be. I will cherish seeing it each and every day. You must admit- it is perfect!
