Santa’s Village- “We Had The Best Time” highlights by Tommaso Casati

**** Santa’s Village has been around for a long time. During its heyday, it was THE place to spend a great day with the family. They had a picnic Grove, where you could bring your own and gather with friends and family. They had areas where you could hop on a skyline and visit either side of the park, and best of all, it was an affordable day of fun in the “country”. East Dundee, for those of us who resided in Chicago, was in fact “the country”. Remember, back then, many of  today’s suburbs were nothing but farms.

For those who read my reviews of theater for young adults and Children’s theater companies, you know that since my grandchildren have become teens, I rely on others to bring the young view to my theater reviews as well as special events. Santa’s Village is indeed a special event, and a place that the Casati family had not yet visited with their son ( my junior reviewer), Tommaso.

They went last week on what appeared to be a perfect weather day. As a family they “had the best time at Santa’s Village”.

Tommaso said:’

“The perfect place for rides, water and fun!

I kicked off my day with the rides, which I could not get enough of.

The lines weren’t long, so I was able to get off and get right back on. IT WAS SO FUN!!!

It was hot, so I threw on my bathing suit and slipped down the slides. I had the best  day spending time doing everything they offered and I can’t wait for the Fall Festival ( they had a little sneak preview) as it looks very special!
