Another year has gone by and while my grandkids have been in love with Santa’s Village in Dundee, since its reopening, with overnight camp this summer, there was no one to make it happen. Rather than wait until their return in August, I felt that it was important to “spread the word” and so I invited a friend of mine’s son to take his kids in my stead. Jonathan’s kids are a bigger group and with more age difference, so a new family has found something that will make their summers more fun. Imagine my surprise to hear from Jonathan that despite living in the Northwest suburbs most of his life, he knew nothing of the family park that has been pleasing families for decades.
Thanks you again for the tickets for my children and I to go to Santa’s Village. We really had a great time!!!
I cannot believe that I have been here my whole life and have never been there. We will most certainly return!
Our day at the park contained many highlights and exciting moments. The following are each of my children’s favorite things at Santa’s Village Azoosment Park:
GRACE: being an animal lover, Gracie loved petting and interacting with all the animals in the farm section. Her favorite would definitely be the baby goats who were as she put it, “super soft”. Her favorite ride, The Super Cyclone- the big coaster because it was eciting…and fast!
TYLER: Being an adrenaline junkie, Tyler could not be pulled away from “extreme Elevation” aka “The Giant Drop”. He also truly enjoyed the Bird House with his younger brother.
EMILY: My little peanut was really digging all the rides. Her favorite, like Gracie, would be the Super Cyclone for its high speeds and swirly turns followed by the Viking Sea Dragon and the bumper cars.
CASH: being the youngest, he watched his siblings and followed their moves. He was consumed and interested in and all of the animals. His favorite was the bird house followed closely by the farm animals; goat, sheep etc.
JONATHAN: As a parent, I absolutely loved Santa’s Village. I did not feel stressed as would have been at a larger amusement park. I felt that the prices were family friendly, not just for the entrance, but for the food and the other side things ( the arcade games).
Will we go back again? You bet your “candy canes” we will!
There you have it. From a family that is experiencing this entertainment for the first time! I am glad that someone else went in my stead, if for no other reason than to have you see that the opinion from a complete outsider and his kids was the same. A great place for affordable family fun!

From then on, they are open weekends thru October 28th UNTIL their “Magical Christmas” November 23rd- 25th, December Saturdays and Sundays until the 16th.
