Experience the most famous love story in history at The Auditorium Theatre this week-end as The State Ballet Theatre of Russia presents “Romeo and Juliet”. Set to Sergio Prokofiev’spowerful score and with the choreography of Mikhail Lavrovsky, you will have an entertaining experience that will last in your memory for years to come.
This is an enchanting production of Shakespeare’s dark tragedy performed by Svetlana Noskova and Yulia Nepomnyashchaya as Juliet and Denis Kaganer and Alexander Lityagin as Romeo along with a very talented ensemble, you will see the classic love story retold in dance. A boy and a girl who fall in love and yet because of their families differences are kept apart. The plans they make fall apart due to some misunderstandings, their elopement ends in tragedy.
This production will perform only twice, Saturday,January 28th at 8 p.m. and Sunday,January 29th at 2 p.m. at The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University located at 50 Easy Congress Parkway.
