Over the years, with all of today’s technology, the Internet has become a great way for businesses to reach the public to show their wares and make sales. The growth has been amazing! The technology incredible! In fact, the entire “social network” concept is mind-boggling. Anything that happens is “on-line” within minutes. Howard Frum, of Howard Frum Jewelers has opted to do more that just tell consumers about the great selection of watches he has on hand, or the skilled craftsmen who maintain and repair the watches of his customers, from around the country. He has added many other features to his website-not for him or his business, but for his clients!
Yes, many of Howard’s clients come from other cities and are not as Chicago “savvy” as they would like to be, so on his website www.howardfrum.com, he has a section called OUR FRIENDS. In this section, one can find sports teams, auto dealers, dining, nightlife, and from what he tells me, soon he will be adding hotels. This allows those who are coming to town to visit and shop can make plans before they get in town- all done, leaves them a great deal of time to do more shopping. In fact, one can link to dining spots and make reservations. There are plenty (all top spots) and even more to come.
Under Chicago Visitor he has Howard’s MUST SEE allowing the visitor to link to all the museums, Navy Pier, both Lincoln Park and Brookfield Zoos along with all of the festivals, by month!. I am sure that he will soon add theater so his clients can buy tickets in advance. This is a thoughtful way to use the internet and his website. Not just to have his merchandise and service touted, but to exceed the expectations of his customers and their referrals. He gets a lot of referrals because his customers/clients are very satisfied with the service his company renders.
He is just one of the quality jewelers in the building known as Jewelers Row. “Want to buy a watch?”
