What happens when you blend the souls of two geniuses in the arts? Mozart, the greatest composer in Western Music who wrote his first opera at the age of 14, and the great Dutch Impressionist Van Gogh who painted over 860 oil works and 2100 pieces of art, both men taken from us in their mid 30’s. Put this together and you have the greatest 90 minute experience in Chicago.
The Soul of a Genius takes us deep inside the spirit of the Maestro. Luca Longobardi has composed and recomposed and rearranged 14 selections from over 600 works of art, spanning all 35 years of his life. From works like Cosi fan tutte, Le nonne di Figaro, to the Magic Flute, to his Requiem.
Immerse yourself in the music. The music is performed by Maestro Constantine Orbelian and the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra. They provide depth and richness in the music, and as you enjoy the music, enjoy the artwork of Vincent Van Gogh, put together by Massimiliano Siccardi. You will be immersed in art 360” around you and under you. This is a true visual smorgasbord to your senses.
