Last night began our winter holiday, Hanukkah. On the first night, in addition to lighting the first ( of 8 ) candles on the menorah, celebrating how one day of oil lasted 8, we enjoy a special dinner. We were very fortunate to be able to enjoy a wonderful Hanukkah dinner prepared by Chef Sarah Stegner & George Bumbaris at Prairie Grass Cafe in Northbrook. As always, when special occasions and holidays are here, so are they.
We joined the many others who showed up at 4 p.m. at 601 N. Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook to pick up our special dinner ( as always- fresh and delicious). The dinner started off with a salad and then went to the juiciest Brisket of Beef, along with grilled veggies ( Cauliflower and broccoli mixed) and of course THE Potato Latke ( with both sour cream and apple sauce).

If that is not enough, for dessert a marvelous slice of flourless chocolate cake- DIVINE!
Every holiday is special when you rely on the wonderful people of Prairie Grass to prepare your dinner. Dine-In or carry out….THE BEST!
