Anyone who has ever been an audience member of a show involving Teatro Vista, the oldest Hispanic theater company in Chicago knows the quality of what they bring to the stage, but have you ever partied with them? Now is your chance! They are celebrating their 21st birthday fiesta on Saturday, July 30th from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. ( and who knows what will happen after that). The location for this gala is The National Museum of Mexican Art located at 1852 West 19th Street ( in Pilsen).
Partyiers can look forward to appetizers, drinks, strolling through some marvelous exhibits at the museum, a raffle, dancing and the centerpiece of the evening: a previewof the upcoming 2011-2012 season, including a preview of the works of their new resident writer, and guest of honor, Candido Tirado, “Mamma’s Boyz” directed by Ricardo Gutierrez and “Fishmen” directed by Edward Torres. These new plays will be a thrilling part of the evening as you will be the first to know what they are and how well written they are.
