Chef Sarah Stegner of Prairie Grass Cafe Sets Up Hotline
to Personally Answer Cooking Questions During Covid19 Crisis
James Beard Award-winning chef Sarah Stegner has opened a hotline to help people with cooking tips during the Covid19 crisis. “We realize that many people need help and we want to offer our assistance by providing information and answering cooking questions. Our telephone number for questions is 847-920-8437.
From Our Kitchen to Yours, chef Sarah will be available daily between 2 pm and 4 pm Central beginning today, Sunday, March 15 and answering questions regarding food preparation and cooking. “Our goal is to help you plan a nutritious, balanced meal with what you have at home and make it possible for you to be comfortable cooking for you and your family,” Stegner said.
“Examples of questions we expect are how to properly roast a chicken; how to cook dried beans; what to make with root vegetables; how to make a potato gratin; and what to do with your leftovers, etc.”
Also, in addition to regular service, Prairie Grass Cafe is offering curbside service for call-in to go orders.
Sarah is a two-time James Beard award winner, founding board member of one of the country’s top sustainable farmers markets, Green City Market, and is an advocate for sustainability and healthy eating for children.
She is co-owner of Prairie Grass Cafe restaurant in the Chicago-suburb of Northbrook, IL.
