Frank and I have had many discussions about the drinks we have when we do dining reviews. For some time, I was into vodka martinis and other vodka drinks. About a year ago, both Frank and I began to taste Manhattans and Old Fashioneds- to our surprise, we truly loved them.
The big difference has always been creating one at home! Both of us have failed at getting the right mix to taste as it has in many of the restaurants we have been to. Now, through the miracle of the Tip Top Cocktail company, we do not have to pressure ourselves, making a mess and not feeling that we got it right-. Now we can purchase Tip Top Proper Cocktails and put some ice in a glass ( or not), add a cherry and open a can, slowly pouring it over the ice. Wow! Easy as can be.
Just the right mix of whiskey, sugar and bitters to give it the taste that we might get at one of our favorite restaurants
While this is my drink of choice, I am going to try the entire line of cocktails (and so is Frank):
Margaritas – tequila , lime and orange liqueur
Daiquiri rum, lime and sugar
Negroni dry gin, vermouth and red bitters
Bee’s Knees gin, lemon and honey
And last but not least, Manhattan- rye whiskey, vermouth and bitters
