It has been 10 years since the Chicago theater community lost Bernie G. Yvon. While we don’t have him, we do have great memories of the many roles he played on our stages and the Bernie G. Yvon Memorial Fund that makes scholarships each year to aspiring performers.
The Bernie G. Yvon Memorial Fund makes these scholarships in memory of Bernie. To donate to the fund and help to keep it going in order to continue helping young aspiring performers go to www.jaxcf.org/memorial.

About Bernie G. Yvon (1964-2014)
Bernie was raised in Old Town, Maine and after graduation from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, quickly became a fixture in Chicago-area live theater. For three decades, he was the consummate song-and-dance man, performing in such classics as Cabaret, Mary Poppins, The Music Man, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The majority of his career was in Chicago, but he played the role of Harry Houdini in the national tour of Ragtime, and also worked on Broadway and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
My goodness, Alan……….Magic Man! A complete, thoughtful remembrance already…..so many of us will be smiling. Don’t know where the photos came from….Jarrod may still answer. One request….could you eliminate the specific dollar amount of the scholarships. We’ve given 33 but amounts have varied. In fact, this is the first time we have raised the award to $1500.
You and Jarrod should take pride in being 2 of the few supporters who are always prompt, reliable, and thoughtful for Bernie. We live in a time when that is not often the case! With appreciation, MomGail
