Saturday, May 18th was a beautiful day in Chicago, and while our “Cubbies” were in the Nation’s capital playing ball, the Chicago area Orangetheory Fitness Centers were IN Wrigley field attempting to set a Guinness Book of Records record of their own- The word’s largest HIIT class. I went down to witness this and was amazed at the number of people milling around the park even after the event had ended, all wearing Orange Theory items.
Illinois CEO, Brad Ehrlich had been on my radio show last Sunday to tell our listeners about the event
and here are his words after:
Hi Al! We missed the record by a couple hundred people- here is the letter that we are sending out to our participants:
“Congratulations Chicago on setting a world record yesterday! More people stood together in one place to fund and find a cure for ALS than at any point in human history.
Even thought it is not a record that’s accepted by Guinness , as we came up just a little shy for the World’s Largest HIIT class, it was still an amazing day”
“We thank all of the 420 people who purchased tickets for creating the single largest moment for Augie’s Quest and ALS awareness. From all of us at Orangetheory.”
“And as the Cubs used to say “Wait ‘Til Next Year”
